———— INTRODUCTION

From March 10 to 12, the city of Stuttgart will host the 18th edition of LogiMAT, the world's leading event dedicated to intralogistics and process management solutions. Sitma will be there to present its wealth of skills supporting an increasingly fast-moving sector geared towards technology and flexibility.

———— THE FAIR

With 1,700 exhibitors and an expected audience of more than 60,000 people, LogiMAT 2020 represents a key event for the world of logistics and offers a complete overview of the market. On this global stage, Sitma intends to carve out a leading position strengthened by an increasingly consolidated role in the sector, which allows it to fully cover the needs of companies of different types and sizes. The key themes of this year's fair include digitization, interconnectivity, development of artificial intelligence and management of big data. In the era of Industry 4.0 and the Internet of Things, these themes are bringing unprecedented levels of productivity and value creation to the entire supply chain, while creating new questions and demands on the part of logistics hubs. Sitma is already able to provide concrete answers, which visitors will be able to experience firsthand during LogiMAT by taking advantage of the team’s availability and skills.

The company will exhibit its e-Wrap 2.0: the "green" packaging machine for e-commerce, which evolved from one of Sitma’s most popular machines and which was previewed last September at the IMHX fair in Birmingham. This solution is specifically designed for the e-commerce sector while prioritizing respect for the environment; it’s capable of packaging parcels and envelopes of varying sizes with different types of packaging materials, including bio-film and paper.
LogiMAT will also be an opportunity to relaunch the company’s collaboration with Crono Log, an innovative start-up incubated by Sitma, which offers the market an extremely efficient solution for managing shipments from the first to the last mile. The solution optimizes the line’s performance and improves efficiency throughout the supply chain, from initial packaging to delivery to the end user. Last but not least are Sitma’s solutions for sorting systems: the Tilt Tray and Pocket technologies, which were developed for sorting at maximum speeds of 12,000 pieces/ hour with variable shapes such as regular, small and irregular parcels, and books. These solutions are customized, modular and flexible, with dynamic allocation of outputs.
