PEOPLE OF SITMA – CINZIA MASINI

—————— Introduce yourself:

I’m Cinzia Masini. I was born in Rimini and I moved to Bologna to attend university. After I graduated, I stayed in Bologna, which I personally love very much, and therefore my work experiences have all gravitated around the Emilia-Romagna region.

—————— HOW LONG HAVE YOU BEEN PART OF SITMA?

Almost a year

—————— WHAT DID YOUR TRAINING CONSIST OF?

I am a management engineer. Ever since my thesis internship, my work experiences have been related to the procurement, purchasing and logistics fields.

—————— WHAT IS YOUR ROLE WITH SITMA?

I am a project buyer for Sitma.

—————— WHAT IS THE MOST STIMULATING ASPECT OF YOUR JOB? WHAT DID YOU BRING TO SITMA?

The most stimulating aspect of my work is certainly being able to follow important projects from start to finish, and being an integral part of the project team. I believe that what I bring to Sitma is precisely linked to this type of 360-degree approach to the project. This approach is typical of the project buyer, a figure that was introduced in Sitma thanks to my hiring.

—————— WHAT IN PARTICULAR CONNECTS YOU TO THE COMPANY? WHAT VALUES DO YOU SHARE, AND WHICH DO YOU THINK SHOULD BE THE FOCUS?

Sitma is constantly evolving and is able to reinvent itself while maintaining its roots, which is one of the aspects that I most share. I believe that market changes and business evolution must go hand in hand with changes to the company organization and internal processes. This is what I am seeing happening in Sitma. It is absolutely an aspect to focus on, and invest time and resources.

—————— WHAT DO YOU DO IN YOUR FREE TIME?

My main hobby is definitely music. In my free time, I play guitar and percussion.

—————— HOW WOULD YOU DESCRIBE YOURSELF? DO YOU HAVE A MOTTO? IF SO, WHICH ONE?

I am a very determined person; I’m outgoing and I love being around people. My motto is, “Be the change that you wish to see in the world.”

—————— CURRENT QUESTION – COVID-19 IN SITMA: HOW DID IT AFFECT YOU? WHAT CHALLENGES DID YOU FACE AND HOW DID YOU FACE THEM? WHAT IS THE POSITIVE SIDE OF THIS SITUATION?

As far as I’m concerned, Covid-19 has meant working both remotely and in person. For the type of activity I handle, I don’t think there has been any impact. Video calls and remote meetings already happened before the pandemic, but certainly the company had to upgrade these systems so that everyone could have them available. I think this was the most positive aspect. I believe that remote working must become a tool to be used even after the pandemic ends because, if used in the right way, it has many positive aspects, first and foremost the ecologically.
