For the second appointment of the year, Sitma will head to Paris to participate in the 2020 edition of SITL, the innovation week dedicated to logistics. In France, the company will reinforce its role as a key player in the logistics sector, while confirming its status as a fundamental partner in the context of innovative projects with high added value.
From March 17 to 20 the world of logistics will meet in Paris, where visitors from more than 80 countries are expected to tackle issues that touch the sector at 360 degrees. In fact, SITL’s participants represent every step of the supply chain, from manufacturers of packaging materials to transport operators, via distributors, sorting centers and post offices. The event covers seven sectors: from transport to automation for intralogistics, to the real estate sector, information technology, systems for energy optimization and, last but not least, packaging. We can therefore expect a climate of great excitement and exchange, ideal for laying the foundations for a concrete collaboration between customers and suppliers.

The European tour of the e-Wrap 2.0 will continue in Paris, where the company will present the French market with its solution specifically designed for the e-commerce sector. The e-wrap 2.0 is both high performing and environmentally friendly, as it’s able to pack parcels and envelopes of variable dimensions with different types of materials, including bio-film and paper.
Sitma’s participation in SITL will not only to show the state of the art of its solutions, but will testify to and strengthen its support for the concept of "collaborative innovation" which, through the involvement of all partners in the supply chain, lays the foundations for developing truly sustainable and value-added projects. Today more than ever, active participation and constant contact between all partners -- from suppliers of automatic machines to producers of labeling systems, and all the way through to producers of paper and raw materials – is the key to efficient management of the packaging, sorting and delivery processes, with a view to packaging recyclability, energy savings and overall sustainability.

Paris needs no introduction, and the same can be said of its attractions. During the period of the fair, the "Salon du Livre de Paris" will take place at Porte de Versailles. The Salon is one of the most important world events for those who love reading, with authors, publishers and - above all - books of all genres, from science fiction to historical novels. On March 22, the "Carnaval des Femmes," also known as "Fête des Blanchisseuses" or "the washerwomen's festival," will take place. This carnival parade is dedicated to women, and so it’s necessary to dress as a woman in order to participate. The event is open to all to inaugurate the arrival of spring in the name of fun and light-heartedness. Those who participate during the first days of the fair will also have the opportunity to join the celebrations for Saint Patrick's Day on March 17, experiencing a "made in France" version of the typical Irish festival.
